Grayson McCartney

Grayson McCartney is a Digital Marketing Strategist at Hurrdat Marketing and the current strategy lead for Local Search Fuel. Originally from the Omaha area, Grayson has always tried to do a little of everything to fill his time. In his four years at Doane University, Grayson had four different majors before landing on Political Science. He also worked as a Staff Writer and then as News Editor of the Doane Owl, and was a four-time all-conference tennis player, leaving as the school record holder for most career wins. After college, Grayson became a USPTA Elite Tennis Professional and worked at Eldorado Country Club in McKinney, Texas where he was tasked with teaching high level athletes and growing the tennis program through brick-and-mortar marketing campaigns. This is where he got his first taste of marketing before the COVID-19 pandemic saw him make the move back to his home state and take his first official job in the industry as a Content Strategist. Now as a Digital Marketing Strategist, Grayson most enjoys tackling niche projects and helping small and local businesses connect with their audiences authentically. He believes that businesses too often look to paid advertising to achieve short term success and is passionate about spreading information about organic marketing and its long-term benefits to anyone who will listen. In his free time Grayson enjoys trying and failing to learn the piano, playing weekend rounds of golf, trying too hard in his weekly softball, volleyball, and miniature bowling leagues, “nerding out” about The Beatles, and occasionally dusting off the old tennis rackets.
